Very difficult to tightly secure with seatbelt.
We bought the Clek Fllo because of its slim design and absence of flame retardant chemicals. Unfortunately, they have not worked well for our situation. We have a larger midsize SUV, a 2022 Toyota 4Runner, and were unable to fit two Fllo carseats and one Liing infant seat in our second row properly. The high side profile of the Fllo car seat comes in contact with the pivot point of the Liing handle, which is the widest part of the infant seat. We have also found the Fllo car seat to be much more difficult to securely fasten in a forward facing position with the vehicle seatbelt than any other car seat we have owned. Two stars rather than one because the fabric is nice and the design is aesthetically pleasing.

Worth the Money, Not Hard to Install After Initial Set Up
I searched for the best convertible car seat for my son for a long time before settling on the Fllo. I love it! First and foremost, it is sturdy; I anticipate that I will be able to use this car seat for SEVERAL YEARS and multiple kids. I will say that initially it was a bit of a challenge to put together and make sure it was set up for my son's height and weight, but rarely do you need to change that up. It took some focused studying of the manual to properly adjust everything according to how I wanted to face my car seat. The first time doing anything can be difficult. Now that it is set up and installed in my car I have grown used to it. I feel that it is a big car seat (in comparison to my infant car seat... naturally). The second most important thing about this car seat which drew me to it is it's extended rear facing capabilities; I plan to keep my son rear facing as long as possible for his safety, and this car seat has one of if not the highest rear facing limits that I could find. I made my mother (who babysits my son 5 days a week) purchase the Foonf, and honestly they aren't a TON different. I would absolutely get the Fllo over the Foonf though. The Foonf is massive and truly heavy. The Fllo is definitely heavy, but the Foonf takes it to the next level of heavy. The Fllo does not have a "base" but has a sort of lever that flips under the car seat when in rear facing; the lever is attached to the car seat so it's not something that could be removed. The Foonf has a seperate base, but don't confuse this as being easier to install/uninstall... the base gets attached to the car seat and basically becomes an extension of the car seat that cannot be removed from your car unless you uninstall the entire thing. The base makes the Foonf much taller than the Fllo. I would be nervous to put it in a smaller/shorter car. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and my Fllo fits semi-comfortably behind my passenger seat; the seat is pushed up rather far.. I would have put it behind the driver, but it would have forced my husband's long legs to be pushed up into the dash if he ever chose to drive my car. I would definitely advise getting a tape measure and ensuring that the car seat will fit in your car. All in all, HIGHLY recommend the Fllo. I will only be purchasing Clek car seats for my children (baby number two on the way) moving forward.
After 3 years I still think it is the best choice!
As a physician it was most import to me to have the safety features and no chemicals in the seat. It’s a SOLID seat and heavy! Our son loves sitting higher up and complains of how much more uncomfortable the spare seat is we have in the other car. We had to replace the Mario wool seat cover. The costumer service was amazing!! I talked to a competent person and the replacement came in the mail very quickly! Highly recommend!
Fllos were in an accident
I never do this, but I just had to let you know how happy I am with our car seats. My 3 and 5 year olds were in their Fllos when we were in an accident last weekend. The air bags went off, I'm sure the car is totaled, and my mother, who was driving, broke her ankle and required surgery. The kids were unscathed. I'm a pediatrician, and it was really important to me to have them rear-facing for as long as possible, and luckily they both were when this happened--the oldest is still just in the height range. Maybe they would have been fine in any car seat, and hopefully they would have been fine forward-facing, but there's no way to know, and I'm grateful to you for a product I believe in. Thanks so much!
Bad seat, bad service
Buy another convertible seat with an adjustable recline that can fit a wider range of cars both rear and front facing. This tightens okay rear facing but is awful front facing. Customer service isn’t helpful, it’s like talking to an airline 800 number.
