New life long customer
My two year old loves the foonf! Coming from a Graco Slim Fit to a Diono Radian 3QX, the foonf is much more comfortable and roomy yet still thin enough to fit 3 across. We love the minimal and clean design as well, which makes it much easier to spot crumbs and debris for clean up. On top of it all, it’s built like a tank. The steel frame on the foonf is noticeably thicker than even the Diono which is already a hefty car seat. This makes us feel like the seat is safer which is the whole point. Definitely worth it!
I like the seat overall, but I do kind of wish the shoulder pads were velcro. I know they’re not needed, but my son seems more comfortable with them. The buttons are hard to get back together once it’s tight and after checking if the straps are secure enough.
Buyer Beware - rear facing
First off - WE LOVED our experience with the Liing and clek in general! We have recommended them to countless friends so this is hard to write. The foonf has been a huge disappointment when setting it up rear facing. I drive a range rover for reference and am astounded to have not read anything like what I am going to report in this review when I combed through these initially. 1. This seat is truly massive and will likely make your front passenger seat nearly unusable because it will be so far forward and upright. This is absolutely not ideal for everyday family use. I cannot imagine this would fit in a smaller vehicle comfortably. 2. When rear facing you install with seatbelt like hooks into the latch system versus the more stable rigid latch bar system that clek is known for. HEADS UP: we chose the foonf over the filo based on the specific desire to use the rigid latch system. It is sadly only usable in the forward facing setup. 3. After the FIRST 15 minute drive in rear facing mode my daughter got car sick for the first time ever and threw up. The seat seems to be way more elevated and more bouncy. I am conflicted as I purchased this seat believing she was good to go till 50 pounds rear facing and secure with the rigid latch system. I would prefer to keep her rear facing but sadly this is not sustainable.

Great car seat
Seems comfortable. My one year old likes it. Able to get a good sturdy installation.
Impossible to clean
Anyone with children knows the importance of being able to easily clean a car seat. This one is seemingly impossible. While the Crypton fabric is wipable for things like sippy cup or snack spills, but when it comes to ***** this carseat is a nightmare to try to clean. ***** easily gets between seams and creases in fabric and soaks the cover as well as the foam pad underneath. You can take teh fabric off of the seat cover but to remove fabric from the rest of teh carseat, you have to completely dissemble it. I mean using a screwdriver to take apart teh frame and remove the fabric. I've had to remove car seat covers dozens of times from other seats to clean up ***** and its easy peasy. Its a joke what a nightmare it is to try to dissemble and reassemble this car seat just to get it clean. A completely non-parent friendly design. I can't recommend this car seat to anyone.
